Who is Kat? Hi, I'm Kathryn, but most people call me Kat. I am a Freelance Writer, Blogger and Researcher. I believe that people can only be truly happy in life, if they are doing something that they truly enjoy, and I am so happy to be able to say that I love what I do. 

I love words (give me a writer that doesn't!), and I love the power that words have. 

Words are so important, especially in a time when written communication is becoming so valuable, in the form of web content, blogs, Twitter, text messaging. Words might not be important to you, but to your clients, they're like gold dust. They're what will make or break whether you make that all important sale or not.

But, I'm not only a writer, I am also a consumer, and as a consumer I know that really formal hard-sell content, is just going to scare me away. That is why I thrive on providing writer that is not only interesting, but will draw your clients in with ease rather than a sense of "you must buy this product, or else!"

The more official stuff: If a passion for writing, and words isn't enough, I'll get to the official qualications:

• I have a BA (Hons) in Creative Writing and Film Studies - Three years writing, exploring and debating authors, and working alongside so many talented young writers was such an amazing time. Plus, Film Studies forced me to gain experience writing essays and debates about areas that I wasn't initially familiar with, allowing me to tone my researching skills. It wasn't always easy, but I survived; that's got to be a good thing!
• I also have GCSEs and A Levels in both English Language and English Literature

What do you do? I've written hundreds of articles covering a wide variety of subjects, and alongside the blog here, I run a Beauty Reviews blog. Professionally, I also write a blog for Nail Art company Konad and will soon be working on ScobleWatch, a blog dedicated to technology geek Robert Scoble.
